Service Description
CRASE stands for Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, a training program that teaches individuals how to protect themselves and others during an active shooter event. The CRASE course was developed by Texas State University's Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) program. The course is designed to help people build strategies and maintain preparedness for active shooter events. The CRASE course teaches participants the Avoid/Deny/Defend strategy, which is an easy-to-remember method for individuals to follow. The course also covers topics such as: The human stress response Accountability in schools Myths like "hide and hope" and "playing dead" How concealed handgun permit holders can react to situations What civilians can do to protect themselves and others within the first three minutes of an active shooter event

Cancellation Policy
Minimum of 3 students. Maximum of 50. The course cost is $20.00 per session. This course does not introduce an active intruder scenario or training under duress. The course provides valuable information to students, staff, employees of schools, businesses and churches of what to do during an active intruder event to keep them as safe as possible, save lives, and recover from the event.
