Basic Firearms Safety Training

​The basic firearms training course provides training on the standards of firearms use, cleaning, storage, and transportation.  This course is for youth as well as adults.  We teach that if you remove the curiousity about firearms from children, that you can prevent firearms mishaps.  This training course is a classroom course only.  Active firing range time can be arranged at a nominal fee for coaching.  Active range time is conducted at no more than a 2:1 ration (student:instructor) to insure proper training and attention to the student and for safety purposes.

This course covers all of the major topics for a new firearms owner and shooter to help promote safe operation, storage, transportation, safety.  Upon completion of this course, any student, young or seasoned, will have the ability to safety use and operate a firearm and will learn to respect firearms and not fear them.  This course is perfect for families and offers a safe way to introduce firearms to the children in your home so keep everyone safe.

This course was originally designed to teach out the safety and firearms training for a youth shooting team.  I coached and managed that team for 7 years and throughout all of that time, there were zero mishaps or negligent discharges of firearms because the kids, 12th grade and below) in the program understood the safety around firearms. 

The Range Master from the ranges were partnered with would bring novice shooters to our bay to learn the fundamentals of safety from our athletes.

In fact, we were so safe that KENS5, Texas Outdoors with Barry Davis, interviewed and even tried to compete against our athletes and talked about the level of knowledge and safety on the segment.

Learning how to be safe and practicing constant safe practices when around firearms will prevent a mishap or negligent
